Jayd began taking photos on a film camera given to her by her father when she was 15. Shortly after she found a dark room and began learning about development and composition. After entering professional photography at 19 and apprenticing under a few great mentors, Jayd Jackson started her business at 23. She learned lighting and technique in the early days of digital technology when knowledge of traditional, film photography was still critical. As a result her shooting style is current, editorial, and informed by a solid skill set.
Now in her studio’s seventh year, with nearly 10 years of professional experience, and a diverse portfolio, she is excited to keep working and living in New York City.
