Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful wedding reception this past Saturday night at Dolce Norwalk with Dave as our D.J. He did a fantastic job and everyone had a blast and enjoyed the music so much. He was great to work with and stuck to the play list, etc. When some people asked for a song that the bride and groom expressly asked him not to play, he asked them for permission before playing it. He was just great. The groom’s mother commented on how happy she was that while eating the music was softer so people could talk over dinner. No one went home hoarse from talking – only from singing along loudly with the music while on the dance floor.
Many thanks to Dave for a job very well done. It was a very memorable night in large part to him.

Thank you Dave, for doing such a wonderful job at our wedding! We have received SO many compliments about the music and the fact that we were out there dancing so much shows how much we enjoyed it, too! Thank you so much for playing all of our favorites and for making everything flow so well. It was truly an amazing night for us and the music was a huge part of that. We’ll be passing your name along to our engaged friends so hopefully we will see you again sometime!
And a letter from the Groom himself…………..

We both had an amazing time and are finally starting to settle in after all the excitement. We got so many compliments on the music and we agreed that you did an awesome job. It was cool to see that you seemed to be enjoying yourself too!
Thanks for doing everything we asked and for accommodating our friend’s requests- although I could have used a warning before the Black Betty chair dance!! Haha.
We’ll certainly be recommending you to our friends.
Get to Know a Wedding DJ: Expressway Music DJ’s
Today’s wedding DJ interview is with David of Expressway Music DJ’s, based in New York, NY! Enjoy:
Tell us about yourself and how you started Djing.
My folks had three kids by the time they were 23 and my mother, who played guitar, always had a daily mix of the Beatles playing coupled with AM radio playing in the backround. In those days AM Radio (especially WABC)played the top hits of the day. By 5 years old my brother and I were taking guitar lessons…soon after we writing songs (we are both published songwriters) but what really got me into DJ’ing was that my folks had many house parties and I was responsible for the playlist. At 10 years old I would poke my head out of our tiny stereo room and looking on the dance floor (which was our dining room)…..In my head I was always putting songs that I thought fit together well (at that time it was something like “honky tonk woman” going into “superstition”)..but ever since then I’ve been dj’ing for every type of event you can imagine and then some.
It was so beautiful at the Prospect Park Boathouse yesterday (and hot)…here are some great shots of the wedding. Lovely couple and lovely crowd!
Tribeca NYC Wedding With DJ
The wedding began with Cocktails quickly followed by the Ceremony in the same room.
View of cocktail hour from DJ Dave’s perspective
Here is a photo of DJ Dave Swirsky and wonderful wedding officient Rev.Samora Smith
After the ceremony guests went into the main dining room for dinner and back round music provided by Expressway Music DJ Dave.
The rest of the wedding consisted of Dancing…and a lot of it! It was a dream team of vendors on this wedding starting with the Wedding Officiant Rev. Samora Smith. She is friendly and very talented. Liesl and Jenny were the great NYC wedding Photographers from Photo Pink
Last but FAR from Least is the amazing Amira Gertz and Staff from City Hall Restaurant. The food is exceptional, the venue spectacular and Amira and Staff pull miracles off to make guests and vendors alike feel like there is no other place they would rather be!!! Thank you mostly to J & K for having us provide the music for their wedding!!!!

Wedding DJ NYC
It was a beautiful Saturday evening on Park Ave NYC that bride & groom were married at the Historic
Harold Pratt House (AKA Peterson Hall).
After cocktail hour in the upstairs library guests were treated to a delicious dinner provided by Top NYC Caterer Thomas Preti Caterers. Guests also gave some very heartfelt and humorous toasts(on the bose sound system/microphone provided by Expressway Music)
After dinner guests came downstairs to the Drawing Room for dancing and the photo booth from Expressway Music DJs!
DJ Dave Swirsky set up before guests came in room…
The Harold Pratt house is a perfect place to hold an elegant wedding. Events are run impeccably here and the staff could not be more hospitable to both guests and vendors alike!
The wedding Planner Christine Hyder from Christine Hyder events was also outstanding during the whole wedding. Christine and her assistant are on top of every detail and the results were ideal…the bride and groom had the times of their life without having to worry about one thing!
The Photo Booth from Expressway Music DJ’s was also a big hit!!
Dreamlife wedding NYC were the Photographers and videographers for the wedding and did a very nice job.
Thank you to the Bride and Groom and all the other vendors on this wedding. It was a beautiful evening all around!
