Ellen and David were married Friday night at the New York Botantical Gardens, in the Bronx NY, run by Abigail Kirsch. The Garden Classical Trio from Expressway Music provided the music for both the Ceremony and Cocktail hour. Guests came from all parts of the country and danced all night to the disc jockey also from Expressway Music. Many styles of music were played by the disc jockey including swing, salsa, pop hip hop, funk and motown. The evening was expertly run by Abigail Kirsch maitre de Michael.
Lucy and Suraj celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage State Park, Long Island NY. The Disc Jockey and three percussionists were supplied by Expressway Music. The music celebrated the Music of Brazil, Bhangra and American pop music. The Bride and Groom entered the reception to the Black Eye Peas “Let’s get it started” and the dancing didn’t stop all evening. Guests also played along with the percussionists on the numerous various instuments they brought along.
The Bride and Groom cut the Cake to “Grow old with you” by Adam Sandler and the dancing continued with the long version of “beware of the boys” by Punjabi and Jay-Z.
Matthew and Paula had a beautiful wedding at the View on the Hudson in Piermont NY. The ceremony took place outside overlooking the Hudson with the sun shining brightly overhead.
The reception began with Matthew and Paula dancing their first dance to “The Nearness of you”(The Rolling Stones version playing on DVD on a large screen in the background). The Bride and Groom then made a heartfelt welcoming toast to everyone. DJ Dave Swirsky played great dance sets from a combination of the music selection list from the bride and groom and mixing in great songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and hits from now to compliment the list. Expressway Music also provided the sound system for the ceremony(outside), the PA system/cd player for the cocktail room and the main disc jockey system in the reception room and video projection screen, projector and dvd player for the 1st dance.
Donnie and Kerri were married and had a beautiful wedding at ASTRA NYC this past Saturday evening in New York City. For the pre ceremony, Ceremony and Cocktail the NYC Jazz trio “Green Central Station” from Expressway Music played great instrumental versions of jazz, blues and funk classics.Kerri and Don entered the room to “A Little less conversation” by Elvis and into their first dance “Pride and Joy” by Stevie Ray Vaughn. Expressway Music dj Dave played eclectic and successful dance music throughout making for very happy and satisfied guests.(and bride and groom!)
Expressway Music Disc Jockey David Swirsky was the dj for Agata’s Birthday party at Thalassa in Tribeca NYC.
Agata’s daughter Valentina did a wonderful job planning the event. They own and operate the much hailed NYC restaurant and store Agata and Valentina . Dj dave played music from Zucchero, Mario Biondi to Classic Studio 54 disco classics from the SalSoul Orchestra to Motown hits from Sam and Dave and Marvin Gaye. The Staff and food at Thalassa was first rate and everyone left with the look of having a great night out.

Last night Expressway Music provided DJ and Live Music entertainment at Justin’s Bar Mitzvah at Orsay French restaurant in New York City. While a Jazz Trio played for the adults downstairs the kids were entertained upstairs by DJ David and emcee Dan of Expressway Music. Also assisting was Expressway Dancer Julia. Expressway’s top magician Jeff strolled and did slight of hand magic for the first two hours of the party to the guests delight and amazement. The kids were entertained throughout with Karaoke, Dancing, Trivia, Games and auction and more. The Party was seemlessley run by Melanie from Orsay and her wonderful staff. The photographer was upbeat and unobtrusive Lorraine Pantic from New York City.
Ronald McDonald house NYC hosted a 50’s sock hop this past monday night for Pediatric Cancer patients and their families. DJ Dave Swirsky provided the music and emceed the event. Jack from Expressway music sang many classics such as Come go with me by the Del Vikings and Runaround Sue by Dion and the Belmonts. Elvis was in attendance as well as Build a bear and wonderful performers from Ellen’s Stardust Diner. Shelley Talan did a fantastic job producing the entire event.
