Lindsay Landman Events held it’s very first New York Wedding Workshop at the Beautiful Helen Mills theater in Manhattan, New York yesterday afternoon. Many of New York City’s finest wedding professionals presented their services to discerning NYC brides and grooms. Expressway Music was represented by DJ Alberto and their much requested Soleil Jazz Trio featuring the vocals of Jasmine.
Margerat and Andrew had a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception at lower Manhattan NYC restaurant and event space Battery Gardens last night. The upstairs space was divided for the wedding ceremony where bride and groom were married overlooking the New York City-NYC landmark the Statue of Liberty. DJ Dave Swirsky was the dj for the ceremony and played beautiful classical pieces as guests arrived and for the processional and recessional. Dj Dave also provided music for the downstairs area during cocktail hour with a small PA and ipod of jazz standards for guests to enjoy. Guests moved back upstairs for the reception, dinner and dancing provided again by Expressway Music disc jockey David.
The event was over seen by Battery Garden Maitre de/Captain Eddie and the wedding was photographed by NYC photographer Agaton Strom.

Expressway Music was hired to DJ and Emcee the New York Giants Key to the city award ceremony Tuesday Feb 5th to celebrate the Giants winning the Super Bowl over the New England Patriots. DJ/Emcee Dave Swirsky warmed up the crowd with fan favorites until the festivities began with Dj Dave introducing Whoopi Goldberg and many others as the event progressed.

Samantha and her family celebrated her Bat Mitzvah at Temple Shaaray Tefila in Mount Kisco, Westchester NY this past Saturday. Samantha did a wonderful job on her candlelighting list reading meaningful passages that she composed to her guests. After the candlelighting guests danced to a 10 minute Hora.
Highlights of the Bat Mitzvah include two touching toasts from Samantha’s Father and grandmother and
a performance by a guests who happens to also perform on Broadway singing a song from the show “Big” to the guests delight.
Expressway Music provided the DJ(David) and Emcee(Dan) and two dancers. Guests (young and old) danced all party long. While adults were eating MC Dan played games of Coke and pepsi, Limbo and a lot of trivia.
For the last song of the Bat Mitzvah DJ Dave chose “Seasons of Love” from Rent and all guests came to the dance floor and danced and sang and hugged each other at the end of the song sad that the party had to end!!
Stacy from Total party Concepts catered and masterfully oversaw the entire Bat Mitzvah.
Rachel and Ritchie were married at the Foundry last Sunday. Ritchie’s mother was the officiant for the ceremony and 7 of thier closest friends did unique readings to the delight of the guests. Dj Dave Swirsky dj’d the entire wedding(Pre ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception). Highlights of the evening included the parent dance to the recoded version of the bride singing “The Way you look tonight”. The last song of the wedding was especially moving “Light of a clear blue day” by Dolly Parton. Taryn from the Foundry did a wonderful job overseeing the wedding.
Brian and Lynn were married at the Chateau Briand Wedding Hall on Long Island NY this past Saturday evening. DJ David Swirsky dj’d the pre ceremony and ceremony in the wedding chapel and then provided the music for the reception in the upstairs ballroom. Family and friends ate and danced up a storm all wedding long to dj Daves music covering a broad spectrum of music: Swing, Latin, 80’s, new pop, 60’s and more.
The Bride and Groom chose the Chicago song “Beginnings” as the last dance of the evening packing the dance floor.
Quality Meats Restaurant hired Expressway Music last Sunday to dj their staff post holiday party at their location 58 W.57th St NYC. DJ Dave Swirsky played great dance music and the evening also had some memorable karaoke performances of songs from artisis including Salt n Pepa, Toto, Rihanna and more. Dance music included most genres including r&b, salsa, merengue, classic rock, hip-hop, reggae, Soca and much more. Maurizio from Quality Meats did a wonderful job coordinating and overseeing the entire event.
Sterling Publishing, a division of Barnes and Nobles, held their annual Office, XMAS, Holiday party at the Union Square Ballroom this past Monday evening in NY City. Employees had a ball singing karaoke and dancing to to tunes played by DJ David of Expressway Music. Highlights included great renditions of Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to talk about” and “It’s the End of the World” by REM. Everyone had so much fun at the party that dj Dave was asked to play 2 hours overtime.
American Express held their holiday-christmas event/party at popular Manhattan NYC venue Battery Gardens last Thursday evening.
The Party began by guests singing a group rendition of “So Long, Farewell” from the Sound of Music dedicated to their Boss because it’s his favorite film. While there was a lot of karaoke singing there was also a lot of dancing to the Expressway Music dj whom was asked to stay an extra hour overtime.
