Popular NYC Magician Ben Nemzer Married his longtime sweetheart Vocalist Cassandra Sunday night at the unique wedding venue the United Palace Theater in uptown Manhattan.
The Bride Cassandra sang a special song to Ben. It was outstanding. (In addition to the DJ/Sound Expressway Music provided the Lighting on Trusses in Back Ground)
After the Cocktail Hour guests were treated to a Magic Show inside the Theater by some of the Finest Magicians in New York City.
There were many wonderful, touching toasts and speeches as well as a very cool Wedding Cake and it was also a serious dance party with Expressway Music DJ Dave Swirsky DJ’ing on the Theaters Balcony high above the dance floor.

Not a lot of people get to say that they had the perfect wedding… but honestly, we did. Everything was just right. Things ran so smoothly, from our introductions, first dances, big moments, and even the subtle background music setting exactly the tone we envisioned for our big night. We owe it all to Expressway Music! Every request we asked for was accommodated, and things we didn’t even think of (like additional lighting) was brought to the table, without being “pushed on us” like some of the other guys out there. They had an online form that was easy to fill out that would say exactly what we wanted and even had a library of songs to choose from to help score the evening, and they were able to get any song we wanted. They really understood how to get the perfect balance of music that everyone could enjoy in 2014. They knew every detail of the event that was happening and they literally didn’t miss a beat. Their professionalism every step of the way was only exceeded by the way they treated us like family. A+++++++ from a very happy couple. You are in great hands with Expressway Music.

A Big Thank you to Erica Leary who coordinated all the details of the wedding to all the many vendors…GREAT JOB! And thank you to Ben and Cassandra for throwing the bash of the year!!
Foundry Wedding Long Island City
I DJ’d again at the Foundry in Long Island city Saturday night. Tonight I hooked into the venue’s sound system because there were different things happening in different rooms, In addition to the DJ (me) we provided the live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour for a lovely couple Saturday night for another Foundry Wedding Long Island City.
Guests enjoyed the music of Expressway Music Violinist Yan for the pre-ceremony, ceremony and cocktail hour. Yan has a huge repertoire and played beautiful music that was in the back round and not too loud so guests could talk and eat comfortably.
This was a huge dancing crowd and dj Dave did not disappoint. Here is a photo of (me)DJ Dave Swirsky during reception.
If you are ever in Long Island City you should make it point to stop off and look at The Foundry. It’s a non formal great event space that is booked almost every day of the week with photo shoots, corporate events, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and weddings. The staff at the Foundry are always so accommodating and friendly and the space itself is as unique as it gets.
The Foundry is on the short list for the most unique Wedding and Event venues in New York. The Foundry also has a wonderful staff that make you feel that they are truly glad you are there!
The Wedding was produced and Catered by Indiana Market & Catering. Indiana’s staff was very friendly and their food was excellent!!!
NYC Photojournalist Laura Pennace photographed the wedding and is delightful to work with!
Thank you to Joe and Alicia (a great couple we really enjoyed working with!)

Marriott Essex House Wedding
It was a beautiful Friday night wedding at NYC JW Marriott Essex House. The wedding ceremony music was played by Expressway Music Harpist Chrissy. It was very elegant!
The reception began with Expressway Music Disc Jockey Dave Swirsky introducing the Bridal party (including Bride & Groom)into the beautiful reception room.
Here’s a photo of DJ Dave pre ceremony setting up for the reception
Guests were also treated to a slide presentation produced by the Bride & Groom. Expressway Music provided the screen and projector for the Wedding Montage:
The dancing started with DJ Dave playing Bhangra music for the Grooms family. Dancing started with a song from “Jazzy Bains” and then morphed into a full out dance party with songs from every style imaginable to accomadate the diverse guest list.
Bride & Groom 1st Dance followed by Cake Cutting

We just wanted to say thank you again for being our DJ. We are so happy with our choice! I remember in our first meeting you told us that you’re most proud of how you can read a crowd, and get everyone onto the dance floor and you were right! The music was perfect! And I think most importantly, you did a great job understanding our taste and our party really felt like it was just for us! We had the time of our lives! Wedding planning was at times stressful but I truly enjoyed it. And you and Charrisa were so helpful and easy to work with!
Also, we just left a review for you on Weddingwire 🙂

Thank you. You were a huge part of why the wedding was so much fun; as I’m sure you could tell from my frequent thumbs-up signals during the reception, your music selections were exactly what we wanted and kept everyone on the dance floor. Our only desire for the night was to have a wedding where everyone had a good time, and you definitely helped make that happen. If you need us to provide any testimonials or references, please let us know.
Kelly Guenther Studio’s provided the Photographer, videographer and photo booth for the wedding. Kelly is a top NYC Photojournalist and Pulitzer Prize winner as well!!
Thank you to both Ben and Brooke for having us provide the entertainment on their special day!!!!

We would LOVE to do a review of Jeanine! She was GREAT and deserves some publicity on Yelp and your site! Adam
HERE IS THE REVIEW ON YELP!
There are tons of great reviews for the guys at Expressway Music here, but I’m here to praise Jeanine, who KJ/DJ’d our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, she was incredibly organized and professional, meeting with us to understand the kind of music and vibe we wanted, sending us thorough notes to ensure she had it right, and then a few days in advance, talking through the details of the night. We provided her with a long list of karaoke and dance song requests, and while she was upfront that not every request would be accommodated in exactly the order we listed it, she did an amazing job of executing our plan while also integrating requests on the spot and responding to the mood in the room as the night went along.
We wanted a mix of karaoke and dance music, and Jeanine and her colleague went back and forth between the two mediums seamlessly. She read the crowd incredibly well and knew just what to play at any given moment to keep the momentum going. I and others made special requests throughout the night, and she was totally cooperative and willing to change course, never losing her smile or cheerful demeanor. Overall, Jeanine was a delight – both in her personality and her skill at her job.
I also want to give a shout-out to Charissa, who handled the business end of things. She was very professional and informative and also a pleasure to work with. Expressway Music knows its stuff, and we appreciated how well both Jeanine and Charissa worked with us to make it the night and the party we wanted. Nothing but good things to say!
Expressway Music DJ played an eclectic set of music last night at ADC (Art Directors Club) for their 30th Anniversary gallery gala.
