Low Key, Elegant and fun best describes our dj style. Our dj’s are usually hired by parents who want their family and guests to have the best time possible without the dj and entertainment being “over the top”, too loud, or intrusive. Our Dj’s have proved time and again that you can have a fun, superior party without the dj music being too loud and without an emcee screaming in the microphone.(Please visit our BAR/BAT Mitzvah blog site for more photos and information)
One size does not fit all!!!
Each Bar/Bat Mitzvah has it’s own set of details. No two parties have the same guests and each family/child have their own likes and dislikes. This is why we try to provide you the exact entertainment you need for your particular set of circumstances. Too many DJ’s in this industry try to sell you every service they have without analyzing that you may not need 80% of what they are “suggesting”. The following is an example of what we would suggest for each particular set of details:
Party with less then 40 kids (of total amount of guests)
1 DJ(who also acts as emcee)
1 dancer
(We have skilled dj’s whom can also act as the emcee so you don’t have to pay for two separate people)
Party with more then 40 kids(of total amount of guests)
1 DJ
1 MC
2 or more dancers(who assist in all aspects of the party)depending on the amount of kids you are having(we suggest 1 dancer per every 20-25 kids)
You can also secure the following entertainment from us: Karaoke (Great for cocktail hours), Magician, Custom Heatpressed items(t-shirts, mugs, hats etc), Magician, Wii Sports and Rock band, Screen and Projector rentals. (more about these items at the bottom of this page)
Common Questions we get from Parents………………….
- “Will the emcee pay too much attention to the more outgoing kids (or small children) and forget about my daughter? (After all, it’s her Bat Mitzvah.” )
- “My son is afraid of being embarrassed and doesn’t want to be the center of attention.”
- “I’ve never done a candle lighting ceremony before. What do I have to do?”
- “These are pretty sophisticated kids who like to dance and are up on all the latest fads.
- You’re not going to make them play a lot of childish games are you?”
- “In my son’s circle of friends, the girls always seem to end up on one side of the room and the boys on the other. I wish there was some way to break the ice.”
- “The last Bar Mitzvah I went to, the dancers were dressed like hookers.”
- “The lyrics of some songs they play at these things are clearly inappropriate for a Bat Mitzvah celebration.”
- “I hate it when the dj music is so loud that the adults can’t carry on a normal conversation.”
- “I hope they’ll have some slow dancing for us old folks too.”
- “Do we really need those party props that we see at every bar mitzvah?”
- We don’t want to be sold services we don’t need. Can’t we have a great party without spending an arm and a leg and another arm?
And the answers are…
Your concerns are justified But they’re not a problem.
The solution is a DJ /emcee who (a) listens well and (b) recognizes that since no two kids are alike.
Why should Bar/Bat Mitzvahs be stamped out of a cookie cutter?
The first thing we do is listen Seems simple, doesn’t it? But you’d be surprised at how many entertainment organizations are oblivious to your concerns or those of your Bar or Bat Mitzvah boy or girl. The last thing you want is to wind up with an event that zigs when everyone there wants to zag.
The next thing we do is sit down with you and talk it over. If you want a tight rein on song lyrics, we’ll be happy to pull them. If you’re concerned about the entertainment not being “too young” or “too old,” let’s discuss it. If your son or daughter likes to be the center of attention or conversely would rather not be in the spotlight, either way is fine with us. Just let us know. If your grownup guests are more likely to be talkers than dancers, let us know about that too.
We’re good at adjusting “on the fly” You never really know how a Bar/Bat Mitzvah will come off until it actually happens. And occasionally there are times when a quick change in direction is just what the doctor ordered. We’re good at that, and our emcees and DJ’s are trained to keep a watchful eye on the audience and to respond accordingly. This may be your first Bar/Bat Mitzvah; it’s our umpteenth! If you’re not quite sure how to deal with special ceremonies like candle lighting or the reciting of prayers over the challah or wine, not to worry we’ll go over it with you every step of the way.

Subject: Another thank you note
Dear Dave,
I know that I already thanked you somewhat informally, but I wanted to sit down and write you a more “formal” thought-out thank you note.
I just wanted to again thank you and your team for making Hannah’s bat mitzvah such a success. I knew the dj would be the key, and I had to find the right one. I envisioned a unified party, from the grandparents to the kids. I was looking for someone who kept the party going but also did not blast the music so loud that people who had not seen each other in years would not be able to converse in the same room. I wanted djs who were not stereotypically cheesy, but who would keep the kids entertained. Again, I didn’t expect to have a lot of other entertainment or activities for the kids, so the dj had to hold their attention but not alienate the adults—or better yet, the adults would be motivated to join in.
I did not know anyone who had used you, but reading online reviews and viewing your website made me think you’d be the right guys. Now, after the party, I know I made the right decision. I have received so many compliments from people of all ages. People implied that I must have given you a lot of instructions, but I said “not really.” Picking the right professionals is the key. Your entire staff was a pleasure to work with. From Charissa in the office to the dancers, Stevie and Julie, everyone was friendly and professional. You picked songs that ran the gamut, which is what we wanted, and kept things moving in a professional top notch fashion.
I already wrote a separate email to Dan, who was outstanding. His interaction with the kids hit the right note—he kept things fun, classy, and age-appropriate. I really don’t know how he learned so many kids names! I was very impressed with everything.
Most importantly, Hannah had a great time.
So, thank you! And please pass our thanks on to others on your staff as well.
Sincerely,
Nina Goldman Sayer
