Question

How many years has your company been in business?
Expressway Music was founded by David Swirsky in July 1992.

Can we meet with or talk to the DJ in advance?

Absolutely. Just let us know and we can arrange a meeting. Our offices are across the street from Grand Central @ 315 Madison Ave(on 42nd street)

Suite 1303. We are very flexible and can arrange meetings around your schedule.


What type of equipment do you use?

We use the highest quality equipment available in our industry. Our systems are all custom built and we maintain them continuously. We use Bose and Mackie powered speakers(www.bose.com/ www.mackie.com) and other top lines in the industry such as Shure Microphones and Rane Mixers.


What time will the talent arrive?
Our talent likes to arrive as early as possible to make certain the equipment is set up in the right place and to conduct a sound check. We will often call the venue ahead of time to confirm logistics and determine the earliest time we can arrive.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes. Our policy is for up to 2 million dollars. We will provide your venue with a certificate of Insurance for your event.


We’ve decided to hire Expressway. What happens now?

We will fax, mail, or e-mail you our standard agreement for you to sign and return to us with a deposit to hold the date.


“What are your payment terms?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Cash and checks are also accepted (except on equipment rentals).

My Party is in Midtown Manhattan. Talent aside what is another advantage of hiring your company over another company located outside New York City?
We are located on 42nd Street @ Madison Ave (one block from Grand Central). We have worked at most event venues and spaces in NYC. We are very experienced at navigating the streets of the city and over the past 15 years have kept extensive records of the equipment load ins at NYC event spaces. The majority of our talent reside in the city as well. This is a huge advantage over companies who have to fight traffic coming into the city from Long Island, New Jersey or Westchester. We arrive at the venue with plenty of time to set up, park and do sound checks….stress free. While we do many jobs outside NYC we are especially prepared for jobs in the city. You will not have to worry about us not being on time.

Pricing

Most of the time we quote by phone or in person because it is much easier/quicker to gather all the necessary information
to give you the most accurate quote. If a quote is absolutely required by email we request that you provide as much information as possible(because each one of our dj’s is priced differently (based on experience and other factors) we want to match up the DJ that will be the exact right fit for your party). If we don’t feel we have enough information we will email or call you to ask you the necessary questions.
