Dear Al,

Did you know 3 weeks WEEKS (!) after our wedding, I went to the Orensanz, and even the employees/the behind-the-scenes staff were gushing over how much they loved the playlist! One guy said, “When I heard the Delfonics, I knew they were keeping it real.” Al, I think we made groovy music together. My friends and family though so too. When I saw my aunts and dad dancing to “Sexy Back,” I knew it couldn’t get much better than that. It’s what I wanted and envisioned, all of our friends and family dancing and singing and having a fabulous time. To think, when I was little, and listened to Madonna’s True Blue and recorded it off the radio, that it would be playing at my wedding. The playlist really chronicled the history of my musical life. There was ABBA, which I listened to with my mom (she had 8-tracks of them). Babyface and the Deeles “Two Occasions” was on the radio when I was in elementary school. And you threw in Neneh Cherry! What a pleasant surprise. I was blessed and extremely lucky to have such good people to work with during the wedding planning and the wedding itself. It also helped that you’re a person with good vibes and energy. Thanks to you and the rest of the crew at Expressway Music for making Bill and my wedding day a spectacular event. They say the sense of smell is one of the strongest in evoking memories,well, hearing is too. When I hear Marvin Gayes Let’s Get it On or Rob Base and DJ EZ Rocks It Takes Two, it will remind me of one of the most fun and brilliant nights of my life.

My experience having Dave as a DJ at my wedding was excellent?he was prompt, set up his equipment quickly and inobtrusively ? my main concern before I hired him was that I would get to hear the music that Andrew (my now husband) and I wanted, without any DJ blah-blah-blah on the mic. Dave was really great ? played from a songlist that we put together, and supplemented with other songs from music genres that we discussed beforehand. His playlist is huge, and if he doesn’t have a particular song he will find it. He only got on the mic once, when we requested that he do so.

Most importantly, everyone (even the shy) danced ? we had a crowd dancing throughout the whole event. Dave is a pro ? and not having to worry about this is TOTALLY worth the money ? I can’t stress this enough!! Also Dave is a nice guy ? he will do whatever you and your fiancee want.

Do you know how wonderful it was to have you as part of our wonderful day? Not only was your musical expertise outstanding, but simply sharing this day with you was a bonus. I’m not sure how other people feel following an event, but I know how I feel.

First and foremost, let me thank you for your time spent with us in planning this day. We looked forward to our appointments and a relaxed, upbeat hour with you. I have never seen so many dance without much of a break and the selections (raves from the guest list are still coming in) were perfect. The rest was pure fun and even the older crowd was thrilled as you remembered them. (it’s always good to please the age-challenged group, God forgive me, no one should ever say that about me!)

I wish the night was not such a blur, but I imagine that is all too common. I’m glad you felt comfortable to wear the tux (very handsome, Katherine is very lucky, although I think you both are equally blessed!) Not sure if you ever got that cigar I promised you, I owe you if you didn’t get to it.

Please let the chamber group know that the music was beautiful and added an elegance to the event. I will send some pictures of the day as soon as is possible or perhaps just drop them off (I feel there might be a slight withdrawal time following all this planning!)

The music was excellent, and energizing, and had people up on the floor from the first dance. His ability to capture the spirit of the party with great music was a credit to his depth of knowledge, and his ability to take requests, whether from the 80 year old or the 9 year old was perfect!

From the beginning, Dave was very easy to work with. My husband is Israeli, and we wanted to integrate some israeli music into the evening, which we did with no problem. We also specifically requested a “low key” DJ  one who would play terrific music without any commentary or running dialogue. Dave handled the toasts and transitions beautifully!

In addition to being terrific before the wedding, Dave was organized, professional, and calm during the event itself. He worked around last minute hysteria and disorganization with ease.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to write or call. I found Dave through a web search, and although I was a little leery of hiring someone I didn’t have a personal reference from, I also asked Dave for a reference, and got a terrific one from someone, via e-mail. I took a chance, and had the best day of my life. If you hire Dave, I know you will too!

I wanted to thank you so very much for the constant attention you gave me, even when I was being a crazy and annoying bride constantly asking you the same questions.

You are great, and it helped ease my worry knowing you had my back and was there to reply to my crazy emails with reassurance.

Expressway Music was one of my best choices! Dan is an amazing DJ with just such a great talent for understanding the crowd and us ? on my wedding day I felt like Dan was a part of our family he was just so well received, his voice, his persona ? I was happy to have him there ? and his constant reassuring winks were great too! Haha ? I don’t think it would have been as magical without him and Yavet of course ? the violin and cello were perfect!!
