Extraordinary NYC Photojournalist Maxine Miller was the Photographer for the wedding. Many thanks to Stefan from Brasserie 8.5 who ran an outstanding wedding. Also, thank you to Kim and Chris who couldn’t have been more gracious hosts!

The bride, Kim, wrote a very nice letter to all the vendors after the wedding:

Dear Stefan, Alexa, and Dave,I’m not even sure if words can express what a magnificent, epic day we had.  From the ceremony, to the party bus going around the city, to the perfect reception.  From the first time we met with each of you we knew to look no further.Alexa, from your amazing portfolio I knew that you would be able to not only capture us but the amazing environment and venue that we chose.  Having someone to capture our personalities, and our wedding party to the guests in our true form and to do it in a way that was so unobtrusive.  Using your talents to come through.  I thank you and we cannot wait to see the pictures, especially the shots in the streets and at the park where he proposed to me.Dave, the music was perfect.  You got Robbie Williams, the Violent Femmes, Beastie Boys etc. Everyone just commented on how great the music was and brought back great memories from Chris’ high school and fraternity brothers. I would look up at you periodically and you looked like you were having a great time which made me so happy.

Stefan, what can I say but perfection.  The place was spectacular. Everything was set-up so nicely. Our guests commented on how amazing the food was, I’m pretty sure they were not expecting such an experience, our gratitude to the chef.  The staff, top notch.  Danielle, such a sweet person and right there for us.  Although some names escape me, but the other gentleman with the tan coat (sorry about that) really kept things going and of course Andreas, it was so great to see him relaxed and laughing with us outside and the adorable hostess who greeted us.  Even when I was outside taking my “time out” everyone from the back staff when leaving was just so nice and was able to joke with me. Love that. I left many things to your decisions from what to photograph and how, to the music, to when we would dance and cut the cake.  I had just such confidence in all of your expertise that it was one of the few times I felt I didn’t need to micromanage the events of the day.  Stefan, please extend our greatest thanks to the entire staff that exceeded perfection!

I am just so thankful to have a wonderful husband to give us the wedding that most could only dream of and to extend it just a bit long to make-up for my time lost.  Part of my vows to him at the ceremony was thanking him for always picking my up, literally.  On our first date I did a little tumble but recovered, and many more while we were dating, so it was honestly only fitting that we start our marriage the same way.

With my deepest gratitude!!

Kim Benedict
